Our Story

We opened because
San Diego deserved
a better corner coffee shop.

YOHED COFFEE started with a simple frustration: great coffee shouldn't require a reservation or a postcode in another neighborhood. We wanted a place on University Ave where the espresso is pulled with attention, the pastries arrive before 8 a.m., and you're greeted by name — not by a loyalty app.

We roast in small batches, work directly with growers, and change our single-origin offerings as the harvests rotate. Our bakers show up at 4 a.m. so your croissant is still warm when you walk in. That's not a marketing line — that's just how we do it.
